Erin Sullivan: Saturday morning, inmate 147760 waxed the floors of the county jail in Land O'Lakes and overhead some deputies talking. They needed an inmate to walk behind the Pasco County Sheriff's Office mounted patrol and clean up the horse manure during the Flapjack Festival parade, which was starting in a few minutes.
Robert Allen Noodwang, a 44-year-old New Port Richey man serving time for felony DUI, walked over.
"Let me do it," he said.
